In absolute terms, however, the number of foreign-born millennials continues to increase as they become naturalized citizens. While younger voters hold significantly different views from their elders, they are considerably less likely to vote. Non-whites tend to favor candidates from the Democratic Party while whites by and large prefer the Republican Party. By 2016, the cumulative number of American women of the millennial generation who had given birth at least once reached 17.3 million.
Unlike the Millennials, the Gen Z kids didn’t grow up watching romcoms, so the concept of “the one” is foreign to them. Despite their young age, Gen Z have realized that there’s no such thing as “love at first sight that lasts forever,” and that one needs to put in work and effort to make a relationship work. “This means much, much more education about equity, emotional literacy, boundaries and communication. We also need to integrate a media literacy approach to pornography, because porn is already a part of the conversation — ignoring it does not make it go away,” she says. In terms of work being a chore for everyone, except for women work somehow becomes an absolution, I also think that for Generation Y this changes.
